Glenn Garrison as President of Glenn Garrison Incorporated, which he founded in 1993, provides Executive Project Management services – serving as Managing Principal for architects and designers in New York and Santa Monica. He has worked with over 60 firms committed to ecellence in design and currently consults with a number of firms in strategic planning, administration, financial systems, project management, and marketing planning.

He also presents Management Planning Programs in Office Practice and Project Management to improve operations for design firms. He conducts AIA/CES continuing education programs and workshops that meet AIA membership requirements.

He draws on in-depth knowledge of the architectural and construction industry gained through more than 40 years as principal and project manager at leading firms, including Philip Johnson/John Burgee, Kohn Pedersen Fox, Deborah Berke, Starr Whitehouse Landscape-Planning, and Jaklitsch / Gardner Architects. With broad experience in the design and production of projects, ranging from corporate headquarters to institutional works to historic restorations, he has developed, tested and applied quality management methods that are the basis of his practice.

Glenn Garrison was featured for quality management services in the book Management for the Small Design Firm by Jim Morgan. He has attended an NYU Stern School of Business MBA Update program, which emphasized strategic planning in business management. He has attended training courses in quality, participated in professional quality events, and helped lead the McDevitt Street Bovis model Job Site Quality Planning on the NASA Headquarters project.

Glenn Garrison has supported professional excellence by active membership in organizations such as the AIA National Committee on Design, of which he is a member and past Chairman. He is a member of the Storefront for Art and Architecture, Design Trust for Public Space, the Association for Project Managers, the AIA NY Chapter, and an Affiliate of the AIA LA Chapter. He was a member of the AIA NY Chapter Committee on the Environment. He served on the Board of Architects Designers and Planners for Social Responsibility/New York, founding its Environmental Committee. He was a member of New York New Visions, helping plan Lower Manhattan after 9/11, and the American Society for Quality for 20 years. He has been a juror and an active lecturer at leading universities and major professional events.  

He was awarded a Loeb Fellowship in Advanced Environmental Studies at Harvard University. He received an Executive Management Certificate from the NYU Stern School of Business.  He holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Cornell University, a Master of Architecture from Yale, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas. Glenn Garrison holds NCARB Certifi­cation and is a registered architect in New York and Illinois. He is certified in Quality Training and is a registered AIA/CES Provider.
